The Juab County Road Department is requesting bids for road striping. The following roads are included: 6” wide center and shoulder lines for 13 miles on Old Highway 91 starting at the Utah/Juab County line south to 1700 N, Mona and 550 N, Mona south to the North Nephi Interchange. 4” wide center and shoulder lines for 9.3 miles on Highway 148. 4” wide center and shoulder lines for 4.4 miles on the Sand Dunes Road and 4” wide centerline only for 2.3 miles on the Sand Dunes Road.
Specifications for paint must meet UDOT requirements (Acrylic water based paint as per ASTM Standards. D 3723, D2205, D 562, D 3960, D 5381and Federal Standard 595B.) The Glass beads must meet UDOT Standards and AASHTO M 247 of a minimum of 8 lbs per gallon of
paint applied. The contractor performing the work must be certified as an applicator with UDOT and have current calibration records for their equipment. Bids need to be priced per gallon of paint based on 127 ft/gallon to 160 ft/gallon for a 6 inch solid line and 190 ft/gallon to 240 ft/gallon for a 4 inch solid white line, with 20 to 25 mm thickness. Must provide proof of quantity of paint applied. Mobilization costs and any other miscellaneous charges should be itemized and included in bids.
