JUAB COUNTY COMMISSION INTENT TO AMEND HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION ORDINANCE
The Juab County Commission hereby gives notice of its intent to amend Juab County Ordinance, sections 18-1-103 and 18-1-104. The amendments add language required by the US Department of the Interior clarifying that the County Commission Chair is the chief elected official signing formal documents under the Historic Preservation Act (HPA) and clarifies state and federal standards under which the County Preservation Commission must act in performing its duties under the HPA. A complete copy of the ordinance is available at the county clerk’s office for public review. Commissioners Clint Painter, Marvin Kenison, and Marty Palmer voted for the adoption of the ordinance.
